Frequently Asked Questions
A shrink bag is made with clear plastic film that when heat is applied, typically by heated chamber or hot water shrink tunnel, the materials shrink, thicken, and strengthen while creating a firm, secure fit around the product. Non-shrink bags, also called pouches, can stretch, fold, and protect products quickly without the application of heat, so they are particularly well-suited for packaging heat-sensitive products like cheese, bakery items, chocolate, or confectionary or products for which a skin-tight seal is not necessary.
Pre-opened bags are perforated at each end for breakaway separation with one side open to help facilitate product insertion and use with manual or automatic bagging machines. We can also emboss a pattern onto our bags that helps them slip away from each other when coming off a roll or out of a box.
