To optimize versatility, our shrink-end-seal film works seamlessly with all CRYOVAC® brand preformed overwrap trays, including our PET trays. Tray overwrap packaging generally comes in two styles: Tuck & Fold or End-Seal.
Tuck & Fold tray packaging is where plastic film wraps around the entire tray and adheres to itself with the application of heat. It’s the type of tray packaging typically used for produce or low-moisture proteins.
End-Seal packaging also wraps the entire tray, but the end-seal equipment seals the film to itself along the bottom and two short ends of the tray, creating seals of very high integrity. End-Seal overwrap creates a smooth surface on the top and bottom of the package, perfect for high quality printing on both sides.
End-Seal packaging is ideal for high moisture products such as fresh cut meats, poultry, or seafood.
