Sealed Air's priorities and commitments exemplify the strategic imperatives we believe are vital to shaping a future that is sustainable. Our new goals build on the progress we achieved in pursuit of our previous set of 2020 targets.
Commit to design or advance 100% of packaging solutions to be recyclable or reusable, eliminate waste by incorporating an average of 50% recycled or renewable content into solutions, and collaborate on advanced recycling technology and infrastructure all by 2025.
We will drive our business and the industries we serve to a future that is touchless and digitally connected, safer, more resilient, and more equitable. Our goal is to help create a future of zero waste, where the negative effects of climate change are reversed. Some of our more specific goals are outlined below:
Reduce greenhouse gas intensity (Scopes 1 and 2) 30% by 2025 and 46% by 2030 from a 2019 base year.
Achieve energy intensity reductions of 17% by 2025 and 28% by 2030 from a 2019 base year.
Achieve water intensity reductions of 17% by 2025 and 28% by 2030 from a 2019 base year.
Reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040 across operations.
Achieve zero harm through operational management in order to provide employees with a safe and healthy working environment.
Commit to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse emissions 46% by 2030 from a 2019 base year, and commit to reduce absolute Scope 3 greenhouse emissions from purchased goods and services as well as use of sold products 15% within the same timeframe.
Achieve diversion of manufacturing waste from landfill and external incineration of 85% by 2025 and 100% by 2030 from a 2019 base year.
Pledge to create a workplace where each employee feels valued and respected. Sealed Air pledges to:

• Lead with a senior leadership team that reflects the cultural diversity of our global footprint.
• Increase gender diversity across employees globally to more than 30% by 2025.
• Increase the representation of racial and ethnic minorities in our U.S. workforce to above 35% by 2025.
