“At SEE, our purpose drives us, but our people make it possible. We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and action, not only to make us a better company, but also so we can make the world better.”
— Ted Doheny, CEO and President of Sealed Air
On our journey to world class, we are committed to creating a diverse workplace where each person feels valued and respected. Our individual, unique perspectives and inclusive culture will make our world better than we found it. It's our responsibility to help drive the change we want to see. We are pledging to:
Diversity, equity and inclusion is a priority for us. We are partnering with our people, communities, partners, and suppliers to take action.
This is a journey to which we are all committed.
Across our company, we are working together to drive education, training, processes and dialogue to help us build a more diverse and inclusive culture where every employee can be successful and proud to work for us.
In 2020, Sealed Air formed the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council to promote a diverse, trusting and inclusive culture for all employees.
The Gender Equity Network (formerly known as the Women’s Initiative Network) was formed to promote gender equity at Sealed Air and to help us create spaces where our differences are valued. This employee resource group is active in 18 countries.
Our HR Diversity, Equity and Inclusion process team is committed to improving our processes, practices, and operations to ensure we deliver on the commitments outlined in our pledge.
We strive to improve diversity in our workplace and support an inclusive culture across our global ecosystem. As of December 31, 2021, 31% of our global workforce are female and 34% of our U.S. workforce belong to racial and ethnic minority groups.
U.S workforce data reported in our EEO-1 Report is one way we measure progress towards our diversity goals. Our 2020 Global Impact Report provides additional details about commitments and initiatives to achieve our diversity, equity and inclusion objectives. The EEO-1 report is mandated by U.S. federal law and requires eligible employers to annually submit U.S. workforce data to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission categorized by race, ethnicity, gender, and job category.
SEE serves a diverse global customer base with a sales and distribution network reaching 117 countries and territories. We seek to strengthen the communities we work and live in by leveraging our expertise in sustainability, food safety, food security, technology, and innovation to protect and solve critical challenges that face our world today.
