Performance Testing

As a trusted partner to our customers, we create value by ensuring product integrity, operational efficiency, package optimization, and brand experiences. SEE has 18 ISTA-certified testing facilities across the globe, equipped to perform a range of industry-standard tests using simulated and real-world conditions such as shock, vibration, and compression.

ISTA Testing Protocols

Our testing facilities and personnel meet the demanding requirements of the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA), the leading industry developer of testing protocols and design standards. We offer ISTA series 1, 2, 3, 6 & 7, including the popular 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 6 (Amazon SIOC, Amazon Overbox, FedEx, Sam’s Club) testing methods.

Amazon Testing

SEE is a participant in the APASS (Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier) Network. Amazon created the APASS Network to provide vendors, sellers, and manufacturers with a list of companies and labs that can test Amazon’s certification program. SEE is approved to test, design, and supply packaging materials that meet the requirements for Amazon’s Frustration-Free Packaging, Ships-in-Own-Container (SIOC), and Prep-Free Packaging initiatives.

In addition to Amazon, we also conduct UPS and FedEx-approved testing methods.

BIO & Thermal Assurance Testing

Side-by-side testing using ISTA-7 and 7E methods that verifies that our thermal-controlling solutions ensure the safe and secure distribution of e-commerce food, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals while minimizing void, damage, and freight cost.

Material Availability

We offer testing for a variety of materials including foams, inflatable, retention and suspension, paper products, and food packaging. If your materials do not perform as intended, our Engineered Solutions team is ready to help solve any of your packaging challenges. We also conduct testing for any competitive materials upon request.

The True Cost of Damage

When consumer goods are damaged in distribution or shipping, the result is far greater than just having an upset customer. The environmental impact from the point of manufacturing through the product ending up in landfill can more than double the carbon impact. Learn more from our infographic.
