As part of Sealed Air’s collaboration with Tesco, Plastic Energy, SABIC, and Bradburys Cheese — and as a testament to our teams’ dedication to create sustainable solutions that support our 2025 Sustainability and Materials Pledge — our CRYOVAC® brand rBDF S10 film won "Resource Efficient Pack of the Year" at the 2021 UK Packaging Awards. CRYOVAC® brand rBDF S10 film is SEE’s ultrathin barrier shrink film that uses significantly less plastic than competitive materials, while supporting the shelf life needs of perishable foods such as cheese.
“At the awards ceremony, the presenter said that there had been tough competition for the category and there were three products awarded as Highly Commended, so we were very proud when our product was announced as the winner,” shared Stephanie Poole, Senior BDM & Retail Manager.
Our CRYOVAC® brand rBDF S10 film was part of a trial to prove flexible plastic packaging can be recycled into new food grade packaging to drive a more circular economy for plastics. With its ultrathin design and a minimum of 30% recycled content, our CRYOVAC® brand rBDF S10 film saves resources and helps customers meet their carbon neutral goals.
