Our Sealed Air Spain team has received a MP2022 Award in the Flexible Packaging Solutions (Films) category for our CRYOVAC® brand recycle-ready barrier display film (Eco BDF), which is a recyclable barrier film that uses less plastic.
The MP2022 Awards recognize innovative efforts in sustainability by companies in the packaging and related industries. In this first edition, a total of 18 projects were received, from which three finalists were selected for each category.
The development by SEE™ is a barrier film for horizontal packaging suitable for recycling. Our new range of CRYOVAC® brand recycle-ready barrier display film (Eco BDF) are not only light and thin materials that do not compromise on shelf-life, but may also contain recycled content.

The winners of the first edition of the MP2022 Awards were announced during a gala dinner held during MeetingPack 2022, the biennial meeting organized by AINIA and AIMPLAS under the title “Barrier Packaging Solutions: A Challenge for the Circular Economy” to address the challenges and opportunities that the circular economy poses to the food barrier packaging sector.
These awards are aimed at national and international companies that manufacture materials and films, sheets, preforms, containers, packaging equipment, recycling systems, and packaging systems that, through their innovations, are contributing to the development of the sector with sustainable solutions.
