At SEE, celebrating our people and their accomplishments is a core part of our culture. In our “Meet: Our People” series, you’ll hear directly from our people across the globe on what it’s like working at SEE, and a little bit about them outside of work.
Where are you located? Passirana, Italy.
How long have you been at SEE? 40 years.
My career path to my current role was: I started working at SEE when I was still a student in the summer. Since then, 40 years have passed and today I am a cost accountant. I have managed everything related to inventory for many years: accounting movements, inventory controls, physical inventories, reconciliation. Currently, I handle most things related with costs and simulations for new formulations/production processes, monthly closing, internal support to several functions.
It was a pleasure to work with all the people I met at SEE. With them I passed through the storm but also the rainbow; I want to thank each of them for all the time spent together and for all the happy and wonderful moments we had.
The advice I would give to new employees is: Words and deeds must always coincide otherwise sooner or later we lose credibility.
How has the industry changed since you began working here? Many things have changed since I joined SEE. A lot of technological improvements but also procedures and culture. I remember that the lack of a collator in the photocopy machine forced us to compose the dossier manually by going around a table.
What is your favorite mantra or quote? Smiling brings you happiness.
Do you have any hobbies or activities you like to do outside of the office? Outside of the office, I enjoy being a grandmother of four wonderful grandchildren. I also enjoy cooking; I collaborate in the preparation of lunches for every party in my parish. I am also the director of the parish choir; music and singing always help me in difficult moments.
What advice do you have for people looking to start their careers or become leaders today? Never consider listening as a waste of time!
