Dandenong, Australia.
How long have you been at SEE?
20 years.
My career path to my current role was:
I started with SEE in 2002 as an Applications Engineer in the Equipment Department, supporting our CRYOVAC® brand vertical form-fill-seal and horizontal form-fill-seal solutions.
In 2006 I accepted a position in the Sales & Marketing Department which opened the door to a range of diverse and challenging roles, including Applications & Development – Case Ready, Business Development – CRYOVAC® brand Darfresh® vacuum skin packaging, Market Manager – CRYOVAC® brand Darfresh® vacuum skin packaging & Ready Meals, and now Commercial Manager – CRYOVAC® brand Entapack®.
The tools, resources, and an exceptional team have supported my personal and professional growth and enabled me to build on my career goals.
What's your favorite part of your position?
Launching new products in SEE solutions. Taking a customer's idea for a new product from initial concept to product launch. We do this by meeting with a customer, understanding their product vision and goals, and matching their product to a SEE sustainable solution. I'm part of a great team that ensures the success of our customers and the success of their commercial and industrial business partners.
The advice I would give to new employees is:
Get outside your comfort zone, stretch yourself, and be open to new learning opportunities across all the SEE business units.
What has been your biggest accomplishment so far in your career?
Two accomplishments I'm most proud of were leading the technical sales of two market-leading solutions our team introduced to the Australian market, including CRYOVAC® brand Darfresh® on Tray® and, more recently, CRYOVAC® brand FlexPrep™ dispenser pouches. Both of these solutions were a first for Australia and did create a of difference for SEE and our customers. Collaborating with colleagues from around the globe to ensure project success and driving sustainable market change… it doesn't get better than that.
What is your favorite mantra or quote?
"Every day is a school day."
Keep an open mind and listen; you're never too old to learn something new.
Do you have any hobbies or activities you like to do outside of the office?
Something outdoors – camping, riding motorcycles, or being out on the river wakeboarding and water skiing with family and friends. Finding your work-life balance is so important.
