At Sealed Air, celebrating our people and their accomplishments is a core part of our culture. In our “Meet: Our People” series, you’ll hear directly from our people across the globe on what it’s like working at SEE, and a little bit about them outside of work.
Where I’m located: Kent, Ohio, U.S.A.
Length of time with SEE: 3 years.
My job makes me feel: Fortunate. I am happy to be part of a pricing team that is contributing daily to the direct growth and progress of SEE, and I am pleased to be a part of such a promising company.
A typical day for me is: Beginning my day waking between 5 and 5:30 a.m. and spending spiritual time with God. Doing this helps me to get centered and motivated to start my day. Weather permitting, I like to go for a short morning walk to spend time outside breathing the fresh morning air, or I do a short yoga routine inside to get my body moving. Then I make myself a cup of herbal tea and start working by checking the emails in our team inbox to begin processing quotes for our customers.
I help our SEE Operating Engine by: Working as accurately and proficiently as possible to get quotations back to our customers in a timely fashion, so that we can work together as a team to supply our customers with the information they need to keep their business thriving.
The core value that inspires me the most is Integrity because: I believe having integrity helps our customers feel that we are trustworthy and committed to helping them solve their packaging needs.
If I could have lunch with one person from history, it would be: My second Great-Grandmother on my mother’s side of the family. Her name was Emma Moore, and she was born in 1883, and died in 1947. She was an ordained minister and educator, and I would like to meet her and talk with her to learn how she accomplished this status in society at a time in history that was so tragic for African Americans.
I am totally impressed with the inception of the Diversity Equity & Inclusion Pledge our company has established. As I can truthfully say, this is the very first time I have been able to be part of a company who puts this initiative at the forefront. As an African American woman, I am proud to be given the opportunity to be a part of the future of SEE at such a time as this!
