At Sealed Air, celebrating our people and their accomplishments is a core part of our culture. In our “Meet: Our People” series, you’ll hear directly from our people across the globe on what it’s like working at SEE, and a little bit about them outside of work.
Length of time at SEE: Four and a half years.
Location: Saint Joseph, Missouri, U.S.A.
What was your career path like over the past 4 years? - I began my career here at SEE as a Team Performance Lead (TPL). After a few years, I was Interim Group Performance Lead (GPL) for about half a year, then I became an Engineering Analytical Training (EAT) Instructor for almost two years, and then moved up to my current Coordinator role after that.
What do you enjoy most about what you do here at SEE? - A few things that I enjoy the most are being one of the leaders and being a part of people's progression. I enjoy helping develop people skills and work ethics. I look back and I remember when I started out in this industry around 17 years ago and I remember those who helped me get to the point of where I am today.
Who has been your biggest inspiration? - My mom is the biggest inspiration in my life. She’s always been a source of wisdom and has given me a great example of what hardworking looks like. Not to mention, she’s just a great all-around person.
What motivates you to come to work each day? - The biggest motivator is my family. They are the ones that keep me whole and motivated in so many ways. Without them, there’s no me.
Outside of work you can find me: Refereeing basketball games! I’m a State Registered Basketball Official for the State of Kansas.
What advice do you have for people looking to start their careers or become leaders today? - I would say go for it. Don’t be afraid to take that next step in life.
