Our People

Meet: Fabiana Amaral da Silva, Tax Coordinator

At Sealed Air, celebrating our people and their accomplishments is a core part of our culture. In our “Meet: Our People” series, you’ll hear directly from our people across the globe on what it’s like working at SEE, and a little bit about them outside of work.

Where I’m located: Jaguariúna, Brazil.

Length of time with SEE: 5 years in August 2022.

What I find interesting about my job is: The dynamism of the tax scenario in Brazil. We have constant changes in legislation, consequently, with each change promoted by the tax authorities, it is necessary to assess if there will be an impact on sales and purchase operations and to promote the appropriate system or process adjustments. Thus, enabling the interaction between the various areas of the company.

My workday consists of: Ensuring that sales and purchase transactions have invoices issued within the compliance metrics of the Brazilian tax system. In addition, we have to ensure that the ancillary obligations are delivered to the tax authorities within the established deadline and with the correct information, thereby mitigating penalties and fines.

I feel passionate about Learning & Development at SEE, because: I've always believed that the search for knowledge has to be nonstop; every day we can and should learn something new and here at SEE, the culture of learning and development is widespread.

To support the growth and development of our employees, SEE offers 24/7 access to digital learning content in multiple languages on various topics, including diversity, equity & inclusion, leadership development, personal development, and more.

The core value that inspires me the most is Innovative because: I deeply
believe the search for innovation in our activities leads us to always learn
something new and we can implement it in the activities we perform and in other areas. Innovation is a movement of change to the new and creative world of countless possibilities.

My favorite book is: "12 Rules for Life" by Jordan Peterson. This book is a current guide on how to lead life valuing essential principles and values; the author talks about discipline, courage, and the need for clear and true thinking about the world.
