At SEE, celebrating our people and their accomplishments is a core part of our culture. In our “Meet: Our People” series, you’ll hear directly from our people across the globe on what it’s like working at SEE, and a little bit about them outside of work.
Where are you located? Moneta, V.A., U.S.A.
How long have you been at SEE? 55 years.
My career path to my current role was: Various sales roles all over; we moved seven times throughout my career here at SEE. I started in territory sales, then moved to strategic account sales, from there I was a district manager, strategic account director then a regional sales director, to then a director of sales development then back to territory sales. I have been all over the sales department!
The advice I would give to new employees is: Be flexible and willing to accept change.
Could you tell me a little about your current role? I am currently a territory sales representative and I work with customers in Virginia, U.S.A., and North Carolina, U.S.A. I work with some of the best customers.
What advice do you have for people looking to start their careers or become leaders today? Make sure you have a good strong team to support your goals. It takes teamwork to be successful. A very important part of the team is your family.
You’ve been here for many years, what keeps you working here? Honestly, I have been fortunate to work with a great team, and we have good customer relations with our clients. Working hard and working together helps everyone to succeed. Over the past 20 years, I have been honored with the awards of: "Winning Performer” (six times) and “Sales Rep. of the Year” (three times).
Where can we find you outside of the office? Boating! I have been boating for over 20 years. We had a 40-foot Sea Ray boat, which we lovingly refer to as our “floating condo.” We have made numerous trips on the Intercoastal Waterway from Virginia to Florida and have even made the trip down to the Bahamas!
