Creative Design Wins at 2021 ISTA China Transport Packaging Design Competition

Thanks to the creative design work of Business Development Manager and Packaging Designer Beven Hou, and input from Senior Manager of Transportation and Defense Solutions Christof Hammerschmidt, Sealed Air’s China team won the 2021 "Best Creativity Award" at the International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) China Transport Packaging Design Competition for our SEALED AIR® brand Korrvu® retention packaging used for a porcelain box set.

Korrvu retention packaging

Presented in an integrated and unique Chinese-style design, through simple corrugated cardboard and film, the eight-piece porcelain set is tightly positioned in the gift box while displaying the full elegance of the product with minimal but protective packaging.

The design is versatile and highly customizable to meet different product needs, by simply replacing the bottom paper module, while reducing packaging materials at the source, which in turn lowers carbon footprint and contributes to the goal of carbon neutrality. Sustainability of the packaging also means that manufacturers and retailers can save packaging material used, warehousing and logistics costs, and meet low-carbon and environmental protection goals.
