Fill-Air Velocity™ Inflatable Packaging System Offers MightySeal™ Technology For Ultimate Air Retention

Saddle Brook, N.J. (Nov. 7, 2004) - Sealed Air Corporation introduces the Fill-Air Velocity™ inflatable packaging system to its line of Fill-Air® systems.

The fast, versatile Fill-Air Velocity™ system utilizes Sealed Air’s patented MightySeal™ technology to produce cushions that not only retain air more effectively than standard air cushions, but maintain size and shape during the warehousing and distribution cycle. In addition, the clear inflatable cushions provide an attractive, clean packaging alternative to messy and bulky void-fill materials.

Equipped with six easy-to-use custom settings, the Fill-Air Velocity™ inflatable packaging system enables the user to customize the cushion size in the middle of production without changing the film supply roll. This saves the operator time and gives the entire packaging operation more flexibility. The user also can adjust the cushion fill-rate, making the cushions easier to place where they are needed in the carton, further enhancing the versatility of the system.

Ideal for high volume operations, the Fill-Air Velocity™ inflatable packaging system can produce 80 cushions, measuring 8 inches by 8 inches, per minute and support multiple on-line or off-line work stations. The system has a state-of-the-art, auto-replenishment mode to support centralized packaging operations and overhead delivery systems. The auto-replenishment mode creates cushions on demand, ensuring non-stop packaging productivity.

The Fill-Air Velocity™ inflatable packaging system requires minimal training and needs 115 volts of electricity and shop air for operation. The system takes up minimal floor space with a footprint of 30 ½ inches wide by 36 ½ inches long, standing 66 ½ inches tall.
