New Pads Enhance Display Appeal of Case Ready Applications

DUNCAN, S.C. (June 28, 2006) - Sealed Air introduces Cryovac® Multi-Loc™ absorbent pads for case ready meats. Possessing non-woven material on both sides, these multipurpose pads provide an absorbent, slide-resistant solution for meat when displayed in a shingled format within the retail case.

The Cryovac® Multi-Loc™ pads provide high moisture wickability on both sides. Ideal for MAP applications, the non-woven material provides more rapid absorption to effectively remove unsightly purge. The wickability of the pads can be adjusted to increase the amount of meat juices the pads collects.

With all the benefits of Cryovac® Dri-Loc™ pads, the new Multi-Loc™ pads were designed with a coarse material on the top layer helping to prevent meat from shifting within trays - solving a persistent and unattractive retail-merchandising problem.

In addition to enhancing merchandise appeal, the Multi-Loc™ pads have exceptional seal integrity enabling them to withstand the rigors of modified atmosphere packaging without blow outs.

Cryovac® Multi-Loc™ pads are available in a range of custom sizes to fit the footprint of the tray and absorbencies ranging from 40 to 450 grams of liquid. They currently are available in black and white.
