Its distinctive self-venting technology makes in-home preparation convenient and safe. Just follow three easy steps by 1) removing the tray from its outer packaging; 2) microwaving for the prescribed time; and 3) pulling the easy-open tab to remove the film before serving. The Cryovac® Simple Steps™ vacuum-skin film contours to the product giving it its most appetizing presentation and making it easier for shoppers to see their dinnertime selection. The package’s self-venting technology eliminates microwave splattering, the risk of steam burns and the need to puncture ventilation holes in the package’s film. Instead, the film expands as the product heats, then self-vents and relaxes over the food. The "stay cool" side handles reduce the risk of burns or spills as the tray is removed from the microwave. Forget about cleaning pots and pans, the food can be served directly from the tray, adding to Simple Steps™ convenience and simplicity.
The latest Cryovac® poultry package also will be on display. Developed in collaboration with a key customer, the saddle pack-style configuration - made from a unique Cryovac® rollstock material creating a new packaging format for poultry parts - offers versatility for meal preparation and easy storage.
The saddle pack poultry package provides a variety of options at home in the kitchen. It consists of six perforated pockets enabling consumers to easily separate portions for meal preparation. The remaining portions can be refrigerated or frozen in the original packaging and stored for later use.
The highly breathable material is offered both as non-forming and formable webs in multiple gauges. The saddle pack-style package is a hermetically sealed multi-unit vacuum package that is leak-resistant, ensuring fewer leakers throughout distribution and in the retail case. Poultry cases and checkout scanners stay cleaner and more sanitary, and shoppers do not have to handle wet, sticky packages. An additional benefit for shoppers is a clear view of the product through all sides of the package.
Easy open options are available to enhance convenience. Graphics and cooking information can be printed on the non-forming top web in up to eight colors, giving the package outstanding retail appeal. The saddle pack is suitable for both bone-in and boneless poultry portions.
