Cryovac® Rollshrink Gives Custom Look in Tight Package

Cryovac® Rollshrink represents a new packaging capability for processors using the Multivac® R150, R250 or R550 systems and seeking the skin-tight appearance of a bag with the loading and productivity efficiency of a rollstock application. While the tight-fitting package’s crystal clarity and vibrant gloss make it visually appealing to retail shoppers, its high vacuum delivers the maximum in product freshness.
Cryovac® Rollshrink is ideally suited for high vacuum rollstock applications like small-sized marinated and seasoned fresh meats. During packaging, the bottom web of rollshrink material forms a pocket in which the product is loaded, then the top web is applied and vacuum sealed. After passing through a shrink tunnel, the package assumes the guise of a high-end display bag with the robust characteristics of Cryovac® high-abuse bags.
This creative packaging format is best for smaller, consumer-sized cuts of a variety of meats ranging from processed meats such as summer sausage, beef sticks and natural casing franks to natural cheese.
