Sealed Air Corporation Introduces Cryovac® Dri-Loc® Theft-Sensor Pad
DUNCAN, S.C. (February 3, 2004) – The moisture control found in Cryovac® Dri-Loc® pads, one of the leading absorbent pads on the market today, has been combined with an anti-theft sensor that offers unparalleled invisible protection against meat case product theft. The Dri-Loc® theft-sensor pad contains a Sensormatic Ultra-Max® label sold by ADT for use with the Ultra-Max® Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) System.
The Ultra-Max® theft-sensor label is embedded securely and totally concealed within the Dri-Loc® pad, making it difficult to remove or detect. An added benefit of the sensors’ placement enables retailers to save the labor costs associated with implanting a theft-detection device in packages at the supermarket.
The label is designed to withstand the rigors of fresh meat packaging and complement the Dri-Loc® technology. In addition, the Ultra-Max® label and Dri-Loc® pad meet all U. S. FDA requirements.
Cryovac® Dri-Loc® pads are ideal for fresh meat, fish and poultry applications delivering unique moisture control that produces more appealing packages. By using Dri-Loc® pads, retailers can reduce costly overwraps and product downgrades. The one-way valves and sealed edges keep products fresher, longer, and the meat is not dried out from the pad wicking on the meat contact layer. The pads’ absorbency protects retail display cases, and helps create an aesthetically pleasing package.
