SADDLE BROOK, N.J. (February 10) - Sealed Air Corporation will showcase a host of innovative protective packaging products at this year’s ProMat 2003. The Sealed Air booth, 2217 at McCormick Place in Chicago, will display products from its Engineered Products Division, Packaging Products Division, Special Products Group and Shrink Packaging Divisions. More than 40 years of packaging expertise will spotlight the theme, "Sealed Air® Brands, Value You Can Measure."

Members of the media are invited to visit the booth to learn more about the packaging company’s extensive line of protective and display packaging solutions with product managers.

Sealed Air’s revolutionary packaging products and systems have been an integral part of the material handling industry. Being highlighted at this year’s show include the new Inflatable Bubble Wrap® packaging system, CorTuff® high-abuse shrink film, Fill-Air™ TS Table Side system, Instapacker™ Tabletop foam-in-bag system, Instapakâ Pad Molding System and the Rapid Shooter™ dispensing system. Developments to the Jiffy ® mailer product line will also be previewed.

• The Inflatable Bubble Wrap® packaging system, a key addition to its flagship brand, Bubble Wrap® cushioning, automatically inflates and dispenses pre-perforated ¾" height Barrier Bubble® material. A cost-effective solution for on-site, on-demand packaging, the Inflatable Bubble Wrap® system is totally revolutionary providing greater cushioning protection, reduced storage space, lowered material and freight costs.
• CorTuff® high-abuse shrink film represents a viable alternative to bulkier, traditional packaging materials such as corrugate, heavy-gauge polyethylene, skin packaging and clamshell packaging. CorTuff® film has unprecedented impact strength enabling it to be used as the primary shipping media, yet it is versatile enough to be the retail display package
• The Fill-Air™ TS Table Side system is small enough to fit easily beside or behind any packaging workbench, but creates enough inflatable cushions to meet the demands of any packaging operation. The lightweight Fill-Air™ TS system cushions reduce material and shipping costs, while providing excellent protection for void fill applications. The system requires no training or shop air to begin use.
• The Instapacker™ Tabletop foam-in-bag system is an easy-to-use, versatile and cost-efficient option for producing Instapak® foam-in-bag packaging for cushioning, blocking and bracing, and void fill applications. The simple and compact Instapacker™ Tabletop foam-in-bag system produces foam cushions with all the protective packaging benefits of those produced by its proven counterpart, the SpeedyPacker™ foam-in-bag system.
• Jiffy® TuffGard® mailers are composed of a tough, coextruded film exterior that provides optimum puncture, tear and moisture resistance. Lined with Bubble Wrap® cushioning material, the mailers offer excellent product protection to valuable items such as jewelry, pharmaceuticals, consumer electronics, audio/video cassettes and soft-cover books. As an economical alternative to cartons, Jiffy® TuffGard® mailers decrease labor costs, increase productivity, eliminate additional dunnage, lower postage cost and save warehouse space.
• Korrvu® suspension and retention packaging provides excellent product presentation, versatility and space savings. Korrvu® suspension packaging suspends fragile products away from impact in the air space of a container between two layers of highly resilient low-slip film. Korrvu® retention packaging holds a product securely within a proprietary retention frame and offers excellent protection for semi-rugged products.
• The Rapid Shooter™ system is an ideal work cell material handling solution for dispensing and cutting all of Sealed Air’s roll stock materials up to 24 inches wide, including AirCap® and Bubble Wrap® air cellular materials, Cell-Aire® and Quicksilver™ polyethylene foams, and Kushion Kraft® paper products. The system also dispenses and cuts the full line of air cellular and polyethylene foam adhesive and cohesive products.
