Evaporation Control Covers

A truly remarkable product, E-VapCap® is a patented floating cover of light impervious, polyethylene. Its black bubble underside provides flotation and stops light penetration, while the white upper surface deflects the heat from the sun. Both layers are UV stabilized and designed to reduce evaporation to an absolute minimum.

Already installed at dam and reservoir locations across Australia, E-VapCap® is proving to be a major tool in the fight to eliminate water evaporation which – in some places is estimated at 2.0 – 2.5 metres a year. In many dams this represents more than half their capacity.
